I’m Haniya, a senior at Rutgers University who is fascinated by the power of a well-told story. Growing up, I’ve always loved expressing myself through creative mediums and art, one of which was reading and writing. I learned about PR at a point in my college career when I still wasn’t sure what I wanted to do. I hated the idea of being confined to one field and not being able apply my creativity. Communications and PR was the perfect field for me as there seemed to be so many paths I could take. Now, pursuing this degree in Communications with a specialization in Strategic Public Communications and Public Relations, I’ve spent the last four years learning that great PR is more than just getting coverage; it’s about building trust, fostering community, and turning a message into a movement.
