Interests

Outside of school and work, I’m someone who needs a mix of quiet focus and time with people. I love reading, and will always have a book with me. I jump between different genres as I’ve always been drawn to a well-told story, doesn’t matter who is telling it or how. Similarly, I enjoy telling a story as well. Writing has always been an expressive medium for me, whether it’s professional writing, journaling, or writing stories. When I want to think visually, I like to sketch or pull out my camera. Photography, in particular, has taught me how to notice small moments I might otherwise walk past. And through every season of life, I’ve learned to protect time with friends and family. All of these interests have quietly shaped how I communicate, but more than that, they just make me feel like myself.
